Building Wellness Institute, formerly PenguinCare, was established in 2005 to help businesses, long-term care facilities, schools, and universities protect the health and comfort of their building occupants through comprehensive training, consulting, and assessment programs. BWI provides training on green cleaning and prepares institutions and services to meet Green Seal’s certification requirements in GS-42.


California Green Communities is an environmental recognition program that fosters innovative ways for participating cities to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption while building vibrant, sustainable communities. Environmental Media Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to harnessing the power of the entertainment industry and the media to educate the global public on environmental issues and motivate sustainable lifestyles. is a consulting firm dedicated to bringing private sector infrastructure to the environmental problem-solving arena through: marketing, advocacy, regulatory representation, sustainable design--building, recycling, renewable energy, legal planning and legislation.


Grades of Green, an environmental education program, educates, inspires, and empowers pre-k-2 students and the broader school community to care for and improve the environment.

Green Business Bureau fosters environmental awareness among businesses and promotes business practices that are both environmentally responsible and commercially beneficial.

The Green Sports Alliance shares best practices across the country to transform iconic athletic fields, tracks, arenas, and stadiums into venues for education on sustainability. Green Seal contributed to the Alliance’s Greener Cleaning Playbook.

Healthy Schools Network, Inc., is the leading national voice for children's environmental health at school and a national-award-winning 501(c)3 not-for-profit environmental health organization. Green Seal works with the Healthy Schools Network to build awareness about green cleaning and the use of third-party certified products in schools, specifically through National Healthy Schools Day activities each year in April.

Los Angeles Green Business Program is a partnership to increase sustainability among businesses in Los Angeles. Partners include the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Community College District, L.A. Tourism & Convention Board, Arts: Earth Partnership, L.A. Dept. of Cultural Affairs, and Green Seal.

The Los Angeles Green Lodging Program is a part of the LA Green Business Program, and establishes a partnership between the City of L.A., L.A. Tourism & Convention Board, L.A. Better Buildings Challenge, L.A. Hotels Association, and Green Seal to encourage and promote sustainability certification of hotels in the area.

Next Bites works to empower members of the foodservice industry and dedicated diners alike to reduce our collective footprint, bolstering the health of our planet and its people. Green Seal has worked with Next Bites (fka Green Chicago Restaurant Coalition) to certify and promote sustainable restaurants and food services in Chicago.
