About California Green Communities:

California Green Communities is an environmental recognition program that fosters innovative ways for participating cities to reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption while building vibrant, sustainable communities.

Addressing 10 key environmental challenges, participants create and implement programs that help realize substantial long-term cost savings and dramatic improvements in virtually every aspect of community life, and are then recognized for their achievements as they reach Silver, Gold and Platinum levels in the program.
