GS-52/53 Specialty Cleaning Products Revision 2014 

Green Seal revised the Green Seal Standards for Specialty Cleaning Products, GS-52 (Household) and GS-53 (Industrial and Institutional), in order to better reflect the current market of environmentally preferred specialty cleaning products. Revisions were made to the following criteria in these standards:

  • Asthmagens and Respiratory Sensitizers
  • Carcinogen Releasers
  • Dermal Toxicity
  • Chronic Aquatic Toxicity and Antimicrobial Agents
  • Energy, Air, Water, and Waste; and Distribution
  • Fragrance Disclosure and Labeling
  • Annex E – Microorganisms
  • Packaging Sustainability Requirements
  • Appendix 1 – Scope
  • Additional editorial changes
