One way we do this is by encouraging companies to develop greener products and services and get them Green Seal-certified.
Start with a Strong Standard
A certification is only as strong as the standard upon which it is based. Green Seal standards consider the total environmental impact of a product and reduce that impact while maintaining the same performance and quality you would expect. They are created with the input of a wide array of participants, including industry, government, public interest and private-sector groups, and people like you.

When you see our mark on a product or service you know that it is certified safer for your family and the earth, while delivering the performance you expect. We’ve examined every aspect of the product as specified in the standard, through in-depth reporting and on-site audits. And the certified products and services are monitored regularly to ensure they stay in compliance.
