Green Seal works with city governments, Chambers of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureaus as well as businesses to help communities be greener. Through our Green Hotels and Green Cleaning Services certification programs and our technical assistance for purchasing and facilities, we’ve seen huge reductions in the environmental impact of a community. Here are a few examples of that work.
Los Angeles Green Business Program
The Green Business Program is a partnership to increase sustainability among businesses in Los Angeles. Partners include Mayor Villaraigosa’s office, LA Community Colleges, LA Chamber of Commerce, LA Convention & Visitors Bureau, Green Globe and Green Seal. Los Angeles Green Lodging Program

Green Seal is excited to be working with LA INC., The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau, to implement a Green Lodging Program for the Los Angeles area. The LA Green Lodging Program is based on certification of area hotels to Green Seal’s GS-33 Environmental Leadership Standard for Lodging Properties. Chicago Green Hotels Initiative
Chicago has implemented their Green Hotels Initiative which challenges hotels to obtain Green Seal certification. As part of this initiative 25 hotels were audited and five were initially certified. The number quickly increased and Chicago now leads the country with the most Green Seal certified hotels. Click here to visit the Choose Chicago website and learn more.
