What the Green Seal Means
A Green Seal Certification Mark on a product means that it has been put through stringent evaluations to ensure its reduced impact on the environment and on human health. We take a life-cycle approach, evaluating a product from its raw materials through the manufacturing process and ending with recycling or disposal. Only products that pass these rigorous science-based evaluations--including on-site plant inspections--can earn certification. But the Green Seal means more than just passing the tests: It also means that the product works as well as or better than others in its class, and that it has been evaluated without bias or conflict of interest.
