Company Certification Program
As the new administration re-emphasizes the importance of a Green agenda and alternative energy initiatives, Green Seal is also doing its part to expand its reach among businesses. This spring Green Seal will pilot a Company Certification Program.
This program expands our current product certification focus and looks at an organization's business practices in its totality. We will take a lifecycle approach to our company certification - evaluating multiple attributes about a company's business including greenhouse gas emissions, energy and water efficiency, hazardous waste, toxic chemicals, land-use impacts, water quality impacts and human health impacts.
The standard under development is extremely aggressive in what it measures - but the benefits to those companies who become certified and truly modify their business practices, will reap bottom-line benefits in energy and operational savings, as well as benefit from the ability to market themselves to a new customer who is becoming increasingly aware of the environmental and health impacts we live with on a daily basis.
